Hi Chaps
I'm putting this anecdote here so it doesn't distract from the Christmas Stocking Filler Thread.
Yesterday (Sat 29th) my daughter-in-law and my granddaughter came round while my son was watching football. While we were having a brew I showed them a map of an island my son (her husband/father) had made when he was not much older than my granddaughter is now.. And for some reason had called it Strutsul Island. Well after much cooing over the map.. I showed them that I had made it into a computer game? "Oh yes I've got to try that" she said... And when I gave her the Organiser and took away the map "WHAT do it without the map"! That's the plan, if you want a map you must draw your own on that paper there.. That was it - two hours, while I played with my granddaughter and after plenty of "how do I get a Pizza"?, "Where will I find a torch?", "I have coins why can't I buy a ticket"? and it was time to go "Can I take it with me"? "how do I turn it off"?.
To be honest that two hours was worth every minute of lost sleep while writing it. And I think I've lost forever that Organiser as she takes it to show the rest of her family!
Priceless
Sincerely
Martin

Re: There is someone else on Strutsul Island.
It’s wonderful, gives me a fuzzy feeling. I remember once my niece was struggling with a bit of practical homework - she was learning basic electronics at school. Her circuit was basically functional, but with blobby solder, solder whiskers and wires that kept on breaking off.
So I took her to the workshop area I had in the garage and set about undoing the blobs with the solder sucker and braid, followed by a lesson in tinning and ‘flux is your friend’. Thinking back at the way she looked at her Uncle with awe, the fact that I could actually do that, well, is someone peeling onions here?
