I've not seen one of these before, had to look it up. Looks interesting, shipping from Germany.

I’ve had a few of them in the past, only 3 or 4. They are specifically for use in flammable or explosive atmospheres, but are/were in demand at one time.As far as I am aware they are identical to the LZ64 in essence, cosmetically different but internally an LZ64. The difference is that they were rigorously tested to the stringent requirements for certification in such environments. What the actual modifications were I am not sure. They were hundreds of pounds each, even 2nd hand ones selling for a 3 figure sum.Having said that I’ve seen LZ64s being advertised for ridiculous amounts. I basically sold them for almost the same price as LZ64s, but I have seen them sell for a couple of hundred pounds.

The manual looks to be a 'selected' copy of the LZ Programming Manual.. It doesn't list any additional 'commands or functions' like the Comms Link for example. It does start of the Technical Section with...
For the full Specification of the MTL611 see Appendix A in the MTL Users manual INM611
WARNING: The MTL611 must not be taken into a hazardous area unless fitted with accessories approved for use in hazardous areas. See the MTL users manual INM611, Section 2.2.2.

now your teasing... yes I was paying attention at the back (you can guess, I was a swot and sat at the front; underlining my titles).
I actually remember that coming out at the time. I never saw real hardware, just the adverts. It came up as someone asked what it was all about and if we needed it. It fell to me to explain what it was and why we didn’t. Thanks, a lovely forgotten memory I had in there.
