I was fuming this morning when I got his reply, but I suppose it is the classic case of a little knowledge!
Barcode scanners are only used for Point Of Sale?
I think not, since I introduced them to my workplace (using the Psion II’s) back in the 1980’s for inventory purposes, not for sales!
And if I remember correctly the DMC II that I bought also had a barcode wand. I can envisage the purposes, but he can’t.
End of rant.

Thanks Martin, much appreciated. He’ll probably say it’s a fake advert!

Re: DMC II & P350
I see he's changed the description again.
Rather strange he mentions "I think is a transmitter for use with a receiver in a warehouse which would pre-date wifi." Then confesses " I have absolutely no idea what it does!" and when you've told him what it is he doesn't believe you!
"Some people think it is for measuring distance, but I’m unsure. ". Oh well, I guess you didn't get your apology Peter?

I found a stone when I was digging the garden yesterday, and I think it is a meteorite from Mars.
Reply from an expert geologist: “No it is a lump of sandstone”.
I still think it is a meteorite from Mars……
