Hi Everyone,
Just starting out with a newly purchased Psion organiserII XP, I have no experience with these gadgets, but I'm up for a challenge and I thought this Forum might be very helpful to me. I have no software or datapaks for my psion - any suggestions??
My previous experience seems to have involved Basic programming (very badly!) on a ZX-81 and some with the Commodore 64, just PC's and commercial software otherwise.
Best wishes to all,
Ken

Welcome
Hi Ken.. Welcome
You will find programming your XP a delight.. Check out the New owners / users - getting started thread (here). Where you will find links to useful information.. Also be able to determine which variant of Organiser you have. You will find links to all the manuals and books which includes a ZIP'd PDF of the CM/XP Manuals and a brief look paper by Boris Cornet (RIP).
Before you buy anything check with our member thesourcerer who happens to run the Organiser II eBay store.
I look forward to watching how you get on. If you check welcome posts you will find you are in good company with other 'new' users registering recently
Sincerely and in good faith
Martin

Re: Hi!!
Hi Ken,
pretty soon you might find you are looking for a COMMS link. These are often the harder item to source, again follow the pointer by Martin.
Batteries are fun, have a good read and ask. I am sure you will get as many views as there are battery brands.
If you get a data pack and it's an EPROM type, consider how it might be erased (formatted - possibly a misnomer really).
Well at least the keyboard is a huge improvement on the ZX81 and no wobbly RAM PACK woes or dodgy tape recorders.
