I used to lurk on the org2.com BBS back in the day and was pleased to discover this board in a Google search for something else
I have an Organiser II (I think it's an XP) and some Workabouts, though I think those are Series 3 based so probably off-topic!
I've been meaning to do some hardware projects with the Org2 and pick up a commslink - maybe one day I'll get around to that...!
To help determine the exact model and ROM version of you Organiser. Jaap, who you will remember from the ORG2.com, has a web-site and a page (here) will help you determine what you have.
