Aloha!!

I come bearing news! :D

I was finally able to restore a pak image huzzar! As mentioned before, I was having bog all luck using my regular Win10 system, but luckily I wear many hats and keep a ready supply of old computers around the house for such occasions :D Psi2restore was raising red flags in Win10 as having a virus and being a serious threat. I'd already read this might happen and even after telling Win10 to chill out, it still didn't want to play nice. Thankfully my trusty old retro rig which I use for DOS and early 2000 gaming, came to the rescue and ran Psi2restore without issue. Well...AVG DID protest, but turning it off soon shut it up and it was plain sailing after that lol

I've successfully restored the Harvest Games pak, so for the first time ever I have games for my Psion 2. It's ironic really as most times when I'm messing around with old computers, it's the games that get tried out first

A big thank you to everyone who offered advice and encouragement, really appreciated. At some point I might still try going down the DOS route, just for completion. But for now, I'm grateful to have two new pak's, one with some games and another with Pocket Spreadsheet. The latter is going to come in super handy, as my entire reason for digging out my LZ was so I could compile a spreadsheet of all my retro computer software. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer buttons over a touch screens any day of the week.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to relax on the sofa with a beer.
